Hearts must have been a favorite card game in drawing rooms of the upper class back around the turn of the century. I can remember playing it at Amherst my senior year. Should have spent more time on my thesis! A Putmeright puzzle cut by T.G. Clark, New York, NY @1909. Solid wood, non-interlocking, cut along color lines. Artist's signature is unreadable but first name appears to begin with "M" and second name with "S". Puzzle box bottom has stationery seal of David & Banister, Worcester, MA., No repairs needed.
