Probably a Swedish made puzzle back in the 1930/40's.  Dalarna is a historical province or landskap in central Sweden where many Swedes go for their summer vacations.  Wikipedia.  Puzzle has an unusual 1-by-1 round knob cutting style and very unusual corners.  We think artist is: Snarfanders andersson.  Puzzle box includes English translation of  box label.  No repairs needed.
