Description:
Initials "JRB" in the lower left, and cut style denote maker was James R. Barfoot of Islington, England, probably in the 1850's. His son, James W. Barfoot followed him in the business. Despite the best efforts of Joe Seymour and myself, we cannot identify the source for this picture. Nor can we explain the 4 circles cut into the 4 sections of the puzzle. Artwork is an ingraved image hand tinted, probably by small boys, common at that time.
