Armstrong

Geert Bekkering, from Enchede, Netherlands and the leading expert on European jigsaw puzzles, received the Spilsbury award at the 2016 AGPC convention, an award he richly deserved for his historical research, several books, many exhibitions and countless talks he has given over the years promoting jigsaw puzzles.  Before his return, he visited us and presented me with this highly unusual puzzle.  No picture, wood grain same on both sides, plywood, interlocking, cut with irregular edges and dropouts including a dropout of a complex figure piece in the center in the shape of a strong arm, the symbol of the Armstrong clan from which I am a descendant.   A very special gift!  Thank you, Geert.
