The Matchmaker

Catalog Code:
P- 0385
Description:

An awkward suitor, a demur beauty, a scheming matchmaker, a room full of Victorian era items form a classic scene. The dresses were particularly fun to assemble. Cut 1925c by #16. Interlocking, well cut along color lines with 45 figure pieces.  Artist is C.E. Brock; print was published by the Pears Soap Company in their 1916 annual.  The puzzle maker cut off part of the print containing the Pears logs, per Anca de Geus from the Netherlands. White streak in middle of picture is not on puzzle.  I have no idea how it got on photo!
