Punch and Judy

Made in 1930's by or for Unicorn Book Shop, W. Roxbury, MA.  Plywood, interlocking, cut along color lines with 6 figure pieces in a well-executed long/round style. If you study the cutting style carefully, you will notice that the maker initially cut very large, long pieces which he/she then cut into smaller pieces by cutting across thin necks at regular intervals. Artist: Victor Silbert (1862-1939).  Box lists 10 cent charge if puzzle returned unassembled.  Assembled puzzles preferred as they would show any lost pieces and the borrower could be charged extra.
