Book-o-the-Day puzzle cut by Richard Hanchett, Springfield, MA. for his Book-o-the-Day Lending Library. It was when such libraries were closing in the 1930's after the puzzle boom of the earlier '30s, my mother picked up this and other puzzles for a few dollars. Notice the figure "H" in the lower right, Hanchett's signature piece. Interlocking puzzle with 5 figure pieces. Artist unknown. Puzzle marketed in large flat box but box not secure so I store pieces in a safer box. You get both boxes.
