Other than using prints supplied by the customer Parker Brothers made very few "personalized" puzzles (puzzles cut with figure pieces representative of intended owner). One of the tiny handful I have seen is displayed here. The puzzle was ordered by Harriet F. Parker (HFP) to be made from a photo (by Marion) of herself, and presented to her husband, Theodore Edson Parker (TEP) to commemorate their wedding anniversary (Apr 29, 1933). Their initials and anniversary date are cut into the puzzle. The puzzle also has excellent color line cutting and some great figure pieces among the 30, suggesting the cutter took extra care for this very special puzzle. To my best knowledge, there is no direct relationship between Mr. Parker and the Parkers of Parker Brothers, but I suspect the similarity of names is more than pure coincidence. Accompanying the puzzle was careful documentation of the history of Mr. & Mrs. Parker.
