Byam Shaw (as he was commonly known), was a British painter, illustrator, designer and teacher. He is not to be confused with his sons, Glen Byam Shaw, actor and theatre director, and James Byam Shaw, art historian and director of Colnaghi's, who both used "Byam Shaw" as a surname. [Wikipedia]

In 1910 Shaw painted this picture of Queen Mary (1516-58) and Princess Elizabeth (1533-1603) entering London, 1553. Queen Mary's "visit" did not go well for her. The original painting is located in Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London, UK.
