A. Lassel Ripley print commissioned by The Paul Revere Life Insurance Co. which we had made into a puzzle by Roland Chesley, Auburn, MA in 1972. Interlocking, color line cut with 13 figure pieces, 9 of which spell “Paul Rever” in the sky. Unfortunately, Mr. Chesley misplaced the final “e” which would have spelled “Paul Revere” who is featured in the foreground. Note the British troops being secretly unloaded at night and rowed ashore in Boston to surprise the colonists and seize their stores of arms. Paul Revere and two other patriots later rode out to warn the colonists, "The British are coming!", a ride made famous in Longfellow's poem, "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere". Actually, Revere was captured (later released) and never completed the ride!
