48 figure pieces, color line cut, semi-interlocking. Artist is Vasarri (1909). Very unusual round puzzle for Pastimes. First promoted in a Pastime sales brochure in 1928 and remained in their inventory for another 10-15 years. Brochure lists puzzle in its 500 piece section ("Price: $7.50") describing it as "A Round Picture-Very unusual". Later copies were usually cut into a 400 p. size. We can find no other listing for a round Pastime in any Parker Brothers' catalog. This puzzle, however, is not "unique". I have acquired 3 copies over the years: I gave one copy to Melinda Shebell in thanks for all the support she has given me; a second copy will be sold in my Fall 2019 sale. A third is displayed on my website. One of the participants at the September 2004 Puzzle Parley showed pictures of the same Pastime picture puzzle cut a little differently, and other copies have been listed on Ebay. Rarely, is anything "unique".
