Lincoln at Gettysburg

Superb painting by artist Fletcher C. Ransom showing Lincoln standing alone, above and isolated from the crowd in one of the greatest moments in American history.  Parker Brothers Pastime puzzle cut by #22 in 1928 with 750 pieces, 86 figure pieces, interlocking and color line cut.  Artist is Fletcher C. Ransom, an American painter who was born in 1870. Many works by the artist have been sold at auction.   The artist died in 1943.  Soft colors for the somber moment.  Difficult not to be moved by the scene and its history.
