Horse and Buggy Days

VG puzzle well made by Virginia & George Locke, Coronado, CA in 1960's with 14 excellent, appropriate figure pieces including their signature piece, VG (Virginia & George) (see display).  No repairs needed.  Artist is Paul Detlefsen (1899 - 1986), a commercial artist of the mid to late 20th century, associated with the "Hollywood scene".   He is known for his realistic depictions of serene, nostalgic scenes; his works were reproduced in a popular line of calendars and other prints.
