Pagey Elliott started to make 6 replacement pieces for this puzzle, but was not satisfied with her work and gave me the puzzle during one of our many visits to her wonderful horse farm in Carlisle, MA in 1995. I “finished off” her replacements and have retained the puzzle in our collection as a unique example of collaborative puzzle restoration with a friend Hildegard and I regarded so dearly (she is now deceased). Probably made for The Baldwin Locomotive Works, Philadelphia, PA in 1920's from a photograph, plywood, semi-interlocking.
