Parker Brothers Pastime puzzle cut by #39 in 1908. One of the earliest Pastimes cut as evidenced by its solid wood, non-interlocking style and absence of figure pieces. If you collect Pastimes, this is a good addition to your collection. Photo taken with earlier camera years ago. Light reflections on left.
Artist is Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione (baptized 1609 – died 1664) was an Italian Baroque painter, printmaker and draftsman, of the Genoese school. He is best known now for his etchings, and as the inventor of the printmaking technique of monotyping.
